Generic Name: Canthaxanthin
Canthorex is the one of the strongest canthaxanthin supplements on the market, used as a tanning pill. Although regulatory restrictions (see additional information) mandate that it is to be sold as a skin-care product.
Canthaxanthin is a pigment, belonging to the same family as beta-carotene.
How To Take Canthorex and Canthorex Dosage and Administration
It is important to note that the following information is approximated, not everyone will require the exact same dosage. These guidelines are based on adult body weight. The tablets should be taken at the end of meals. Divide your dosage! Do not take all of the tablets at once, but 1 or 2 with each meal.
- Under 100 lbs. 1-2 per day
- 100 to 159 lbs. 2-3 per day
- 159 to 200 lbs. 3-4 per day
- Over 200 lbs. 4-6 per day

Stop taking the drug immediatly and take plenty of liquids to help purge your system of exces canthaxanthin.

Canthaxanthin research shows that saturation usually takes from 2 to 8 weeks, depending on your diet, health, skin thickness and body weight. You may have to adjust the dosage up or down for your system. For a minority of people, it may take up to 12 weeks to see the full effects of Canthaxanthin.
For all others, after saturation is completed cut the saturation dosage in half for maintenance. Please note that it may take an additional 2 to 3 weeks after saturation before the full dark bronze coloring is achieved as the hues darken over time. A small amount of exposure to the sun or a short time in a tanning booth will speed and enhance the darkening of the color.
Additional Notes
Canthorex capsules are not sold as tanning pills due to the EPA's opinion about Tanning Pills. Although tanning pills have not been proven harmful in any way the EPA has not approved the use of canthaxanthin as a tanning aid. Canthorex is sold as a skin care supplement. The use of canthaxanthin may decrease one's chances of getting skin cancer. Each capsule contains 500 mg. Selmedica Healthcare Canthorex contains pure canthaxanthin, no binding agents or fillers are used (manufacturer's claim). Most other companies only sell 30 mg capsules.
